Animal Health and Hydro Newlands began as Animal Physical Rehab (APR) in 2004 as a one-person practice in Wynberg, founded by Dawn Jones. In May 2024 APR Newlands was bought over by Dr Tanya Grantham (a qualified veterinarian) from Animal Health and Hydro. Animal Health and Hydro Newlands a successful physical rehabilitation practice based at Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital in Newlands, is the fourth Animal Health and Hydro facility and is one of two AHAH facilities based in Cape Town.
We have a multiskilled team comprising Veterinary Physio therapists, hydrotherapists, and rehabilitation practitioners all led by our owner and mentor qualified veterinarian Dr Tanya Grantham.
The practice currently provides 400-500 treatments per month, largely to dogs, but also to horses, cats, rabbits and the occasional livestock, or exotic species. As with every Animal Health and Hydro facility, our team of experienced professionals are absolutely committed to ensuring the best functional outcomes for all our patients – it isn’t just a job; it is a passion and a calling for every one of us.
