Why rats need rehab – Part Two

MY STORY: BAGGINS

My interest in rat rehabilitation began with my own rat, Baggins. I got Baggins when she was 5 weeks old. Unfortunately she was not separated from her male siblings from a young enough age by her previous owner and thus had a litter at the age of about 7 weeks old.

After her litter was weaned and adopted out, I noticed that she was intermittently lame left hind limb. When I had a look at her, I released she had quite a lot of pain in her neck, back and both hips. After careful consideration, I began physiotherapy in the hopes she would improve, which she most certainly did!
